2020 Fall Football Skills & Conditioning
- No gear, must wear athletic clothing, long sleeves, cleats and bring own water bottle clearly labelled. All players must wear football gloves.
- Hand sanitizer station will be provided and players must sanitizer their hands before and after they enter the field.
- Each player will need to check-in and be screened for signs of illness before EVERY SESSION. There is a ZERO tolerance policy for any signs of illness. A Safety Officer will record this information at every practice for our records.
- Coaches will wear a mask if they are closer than 6 feet to players.
- All equipment will be during sanitized during and after each session.
- 20 player max per team. Based on first registered and paid.
- 50 people max at the field. No parent spectators due to max numbers. Drop off and pickup in the parking lot do not come early!
- No high fives or huddles. No contact/tackling social distancing will be in place as much as possible.

FALL REGISTRATION INFORMATION. PLEASE READ THROUGH THE ENTIRE REGISTRATION PROCESS PRIOR TO REGISTERING
Fall registration fee: $200 (Tackle) & $100 (Flag)
The registration fee does NOT include the extra $59 in annual association/esportsdesk fees (previously this was included in your registration the new system requires parents to pay these fees). These fees are only paid once per calendar year:
- $15 Football Canada membership fee
- $20 British Columbia Community Football Association (BCCFA) membership fee ($10 membership, $10 coach development)
- $23 British Columbia Provincial Football Association (BCPFA) membership fee ($10 insurance, $13 membership)
- $7 eSportsDesk admin fee
IMPORTANT
**The Football Canada memberships are built right into eSportsdesk so you no longer have to pay their memberhsip outside of the registration system.
BCCFA has mandated that all football clubs must use a new centrally developed online registration system called eSportdesk in order to offer league play football in BC. This online registration system must be used by everyone who wishes to register regardless of how payment is taking place. Please read and follow the instructions carefully.
- Click REGISTER and this will take you to the central online registration system called eSportsdesk
- Click "sign up" for an account for new families or "sign in" for returning players
- For new accounts, you will receive a confirmation email with a password
- For new accounts, log into your account from the email and click "add/edit family member"
- Click "add family member"
- Enter your child's information and click "continue". Ensure birthdate is correct as you cannot register for teams if it is incorrect
- For both new and returning players, click "Register Now" at top and then click "Register Now" beside the GVMFA team you wish to register for
- Follow the prompts and read and agree to the waivers
- Select BCCFA when asked in the questionnaire.
- Check out! The BCPFA, the BCCFA and Football Canada fees must be paid via credit card or Interac, but the GVMFA fees can be paid via credit card, Interac or cheque.
Depending upon the payment chosen, a 3% Credit Card fee (applied to the GVMFA registration fee only) or $1.50 Interac fee will apply
If you are planning on applying for Kidsport, Jumpstart or other financial assistance, please follow the steps above and choose "cheque" for the GVMFA payment at step 10.
Checklist before first practice:
After your player has been registered, please bring the following to gear up (dates and times to be emailed):
- Proof of age ie: BC Services Card (Care Card), Birth Certificate or Passport
- $300 equipment deposit cheque
- $100 jersey deposit cheque
- $100 volunteer cheque
Greater Victoria Minor Football Association Registration Fees are used for:
- Officiating
- Field preparation and rental
- Replacement and upgrading of practice equipment
- Shoulder pads, helmets, mouth guards, pants and game Jerseys
- Training supplies, safety and education
- Administration supplies
Once fees are paid/discussed at the time of registration and all deposit/bond cheques are received, your player will then be able to receive his/her equipment and take part in the on field activities, but not before. Equipment, jersey and volunteer deposit cheques are held by the club until the end of the season. As long as the volunteer requirements are met and all gear is returned in good clean condition, these bond cheques will be returned to the family or are shredded. Please note - the GVMFA does not want to cash these cheques as we would rather have the volunteer time and have our gear back!
GVMFA welcomes and encourages both male and female players to play at all age group levels.
